SCHOOL UNIFORM

At Crescent School, we take great pride in our school uniform, which is a key element of our identity and values. Our uniform symbolizes the high standards and commitment we uphold in both academic and personal development. By wearing the uniform, students demonstrate their dedication to their education and respect for the school community. The consistent appearance fosters a sense of equality and unity, minimizing distractions and promoting a focus on learning. It also helps prepare students for future professional environments by encouraging a disciplined and polished approach. We ask for the support of both students and parents in ensuring that every student wears the full school uniform every day. Uniforms are available for purchase at the school store, and we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the standards that help our students excel.

Formal Uniforms:

Students must wear their formal uniforms during regular school days.
Formal uniforms are required when representing the school at external activities or competitions.
Students should also wear formal uniforms on Open House Days.

Sports Uniforms:

Students must wear their sports uniforms on PE class days according to their class timetable.
For Kindergarten (KG) students, sports uniforms should be worn every Friday and on PE class days as per their class timetable.
Sports uniforms are also required on Sports Day and during sports competitions.

General Rules to be Followed:

Uniforms should be neat, clean, and well-ironed. Each student must wear his/her student ID card along with the respective lanyard.
School shirts must be buttoned up and neatly tucked into the waistband of skirts or pants.
Students are encouraged to wear a white inner vest or round-neck T-shirt under their school shirt.
Skirts and pants should be worn at the waist; wearing them above or below the waist is not permitted.
For formal uniforms, all students should wear black leather shoes paired with school navy blue socks.
With sports uniforms, students should wear white sports shoes (lace or Velcro) and white school socks.
Shoes should adhere to the uniform policy without additional colored soles, designs, sequences, or logos.
Shoes must be polished, neat, and tidy.
Belts should be purchased exclusively from the school as it is customized with the school logo.
School winter jackets may be worn if needed; no other winter wear is allowed.
School blazers are mandatory with the formal uniform for students of Grades 9 to 12.
On birthdays or special occasions, students may wear smart, appropriate casual clothing.
Hair must be neatly combed and kept out of the eyes. Unconventional hairstyles, highlights, and hair colors are not allowed.
Nails should be trimmed and kept clean.
Caps are not permitted.
No jewelry or ornaments are allowed other than small stud earrings and items of religious significance which may be worn only with prior approval from the Head of Section, following a formal written request from a parent.
Accessories are restricted to watches. Please note that smartwatches with calculators, fancy watches, and wristbands are not permitted.
Tattoos are not allowed.

Specific Guidelines for Girls

Skirts must be knee-length for students in Grades 1 to 8.
White leggings or white tights are allowed to provide full coverage.
Long hair must be fully tied back away from the face. Hair accessories are allowed provided they are plain and white.
Makeup, nail varnish, and henna are not allowed.
Only one pair of small earrings are permitted.
For students who wish to cover their heads, a plain white headscarf may be worn neatly.

Specific Guidelines for Boys

Senior boys are required to shave regularly.
Hair should be neatly trimmed.
Beards should be well-groomed.
Trousers must be of appropriate length and fit.
All secondary students in grades 9 to 12 (boys) must wear school ties and blazers with their formal uniform.

Birthdays and special occasions when casuals are permitted

Smart casual attire is permitted on special days.
Fitted clothing, sleeveless shirts or dresses are not allowed.
Short skirts and shorts are not permitted.
Student ID cards must be worn.
