“Let me define a leader. He must have vision and passion and not be afraid of any problem. Instead, he should know how to defeat it. Most importantly, he must work with integrity.
– APJ Abdul Kalam
I am Aadil Abdul Khader, the head boy of the student council for the year 2020-21. I have always regarded this post with awe ever since childhood. I have worked hard in shaping my leadership skills. I work well with everyone and have represented Crescent English High School on multiple occasions. My experiences as a class monitor in grade 8 further moulded and solidified the qualities of hard work, determination and discipline. My role as house prefect in grade 9 also helped me grow as an individual. I aim to work as an architect professionally, and my current subjects in Grade 12 are an aid to that end. Furthermore, I am the International Quizzing Association’s First student ambassador in Asia, and have been a passionate quizzer ever since grade 6.
Professional quizzing inculcates decision-making, risk analysis, and foresight to students. It builds soft skills essential to the workplace and life in general. As the head, of the student council, I will strive to inculcate soft skills such as discipline, speech, confidence etc; through our various activities. It is an enormous privilege to lead the student council, and I promise to strive to work with my team for the welfare of the school, teachers, and students as my primary objective. The student council will work to perform to its full potential and serve as a dynamic voice of the students. The wellbeing of all members of the school community is paramount to the smooth functioning of the school, and it is the collective responsibility of the student council to maintain the same. I have full faith in my peers that we can achieve all targets and make our stay in Crescent English High School a productive one.
